  • Project Overview: This multi-phased CMAR project consisted of installing 0.25 miles of 8” sewer line down the 2-lane Basha Rd at Ocotillo Rd adjacent to Snedigar Sports Complex. DCS self-peformed 86% of the work. Specific work included existing sewer line removal, existing waterline relocations, sewer line installation, permanent asphalt replacement and complete restoration to return Basha Rd to its’ existing conditions. Public safety was a major concern because of projects location to Snedigar Sport Complex and large volume of vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The project was built in multiple phases working around the schedule constraints of the sport complex to limit the exposure to the public during construction.

Caballo Crossing

  • Project Overview: The project was a 137-lot community, which included improvements to Buckeye Road and the construction of 103rd Avenue to accommodate the new subdivision. DCS performed all trades for this project including grading, sewer, water, storm drain, Salt River Project (SRP) irrigation, concrete, and paving. The subdivision is located on a 40-acre site in which DCS excavated 71,000 CY of dirt to complete the grading along with 2,605 LF of SRP irrigation pipe, 4,417 LF of vitrified clay pipe (VCP), and ductile iron pipe (DIP) sewer main.

Eastmark Phase II Civil and Landscape Roadway Improvements

  • Project Overview: The project involved construction of four new arterial roadways, which totaled 2.5 miles: Eastmark Lane, Point Twenty-Two Boulevard, Everton Terrace, and Signal Butte Road. The project scope consisted of 53,872 SY of asphalt paving, 27,554 LF of curb and gutter, sewer line, 13,105 LF of 8” to 24” ductile iron water line, 10,993 LF of 18” to 30” storm drain, waterline jack and bore, decorative entry monuments, street lights, and traffic signals.

Belmont Estates

  • Project Overview: Belmont is a 91-lot community located in South Chandler on Gilbert Road between Queen Creek and Ocotillo Roads. DCS performed mass excavation, domestic water, reclaimed water, sewer, & RWCD irrigation installations. The project included 113,506 CY of excavation, 60,000 CY of mass excavation, and 165,614 SY of finish grading. The mass excavation scope proved to be a challenge due to the fact that the site was previously an abandoned dairy. DCS worked closely with the geotechnical engineer during the grading process to make sure that the materials were processed and compacted to meet and/or exceed geotechnical requirements.

27th Avenue and Southern Storm Drain Project

  • Project Overview: This project consisted of widening 2 miles of Southern Avenue from 19th Avenue to 31st Avenue. The work consisted of grading, paving, removals, concrete, water, sewer, storm drain, micro seal, private irrigation, street lights, traffic signals, and landscaping. DCS self-performed more than 75% of the work, which included 8,800 LF of 60” and 24” storm drain pipe along with in excess of 21,000 tons of asphalt.

Ellsworth Road Improvements: Ellsworth Loop Road to Cloud Road

  • Project Overview: This project consisted of widening Ellsworth Road from Ellsworth Loop to Cloud Road from two lanes to six with a raised median. The work included grading, improvements to existing underground utilities, storm drain, concrete, paving rubberized asphalt, traffic signals, and landscaping. Being one of only two routes to and from Johnson Ranch, there were extensive traffic-control needs to accommodate for the large volume of traffic.

Cadence – Ellsworth Road Improvements

  • Project Overview: DCS was the general contractor for this arterial roadway construction project at SR24 on Ellsworth Road. DCS self-performed 73% of the work and handled extensive project phasing and large traffic volumes while staying on schedule and within budget. DCS communicated with ADOT and the City of Mesa while they performed the right-of-way work on Ellsworth Road. The scope of work included utility replacements, wet utility installation ranging from 8” to 30”, traffic signals, 6,000 SY of rubberized asphalt pavement, ADOT Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP) and street lights.

Continuum – North Ellis and Mockingbird CMAR

  • Project Overview: As the General Contractor, DCS self-performed 71% of the contract value and partnered with key subcontractor to complete the landscaping and street lighting. This full roadway improvements project included almost 1 mile of infrastructure improvements including grading, paving, decorative concrete, dry utilities, SRP Irrigation, water main, sewer main,reclaimed water main, landscaping, striping, street lighting and signage. Also included installation of 12” and 16” water mains and 1,700LF of SRP irrigation piping and structures. The project was built in two phases to expedite the SRP scope to allow construction to take place during a dry-up.
