  • Project Overview: This multiphased project consisted of improvements of Riggs Rd. from Crismon Rd. to Meridian Rd as well as the reconfiguration of the Rittenhouse Rd/Gary Rd/Riggs Rd Intersection at the union Pacific Railroad. Key scope items include 24″ and 36″ Jack and Bore under UPRR, 3 miles of Asphalt Paving, 90,000+ SY of lime treated subbase, 4 miles of utility installation including water, sewer, storm drain/irrigation, landscape, street lights and traffic signals.

Frye Road Improvements

Frye Road Improvements

Project Overview:  This .5 mile roadway improvement project extended Frye Road from Roosevelt Avenue to Kyrene Road. Scope of work included a single barrel box culvert at the SRP Gila Drain which required the design and installation of a bypass system to construct the box culvert without dry-up conditions.  Key details included asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm drain facilities, street lights and landscape improvements and realignment of the Gila Drain.

Aloravita

Aloravita Blvd Infrastructure Improvements & Jomax Road Widening

Project Overview:  This roadway and utility improvement project included a half mile widening of Jomax Road from a single lane of travel each direction to two lanes each direction with a flush median as well as the civil infrastructure for Aloravita, a 263 lot master planned community in Peoria . Scope of work included new sewer, water, dry utilities, asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, ADA ramps, storm drain, street lights and landscape improvements.

Higley and Baseline Intersection Improvements

  • Project Overview: This project consisted of widening 1.5 miles of Higley and Baseline Roads. Work included removals, grading, paving 20,857 SY, concrete curb and gutter, water, 4,883 LF of 15” sewer, storm drain, microseal, 1,470 LF of 36” Roosevelt Water Conservation District (RWCD) irrigation and structures, SRP, street lights, traffic signal relocation, and landscaping.

Caballo Crossing

  • Project Overview: The project was a 137-lot community, which included improvements to Buckeye Road and the construction of 103rd Avenue to accommodate the new subdivision. DCS performed all trades for this project including grading, sewer, water, storm drain, Salt River Project (SRP) irrigation, concrete, and paving. The subdivision is located on a 40-acre site in which DCS excavated 71,000 CY of dirt to complete the grading along with 2,605 LF of SRP irrigation pipe, 4,417 LF of vitrified clay pipe (VCP), and ductile iron pipe (DIP) sewer main.

Alma School Road Bridge at Salt River

  • Project Overview: This project consisted of removal and replacement of gabion mattress scour protection along the Salt River at Alma School Road in Mesa. This included mass excavation of 27,000 cubic yards of onsite material and the placement of 25,000 cubic yards of import material to construct grade. Plus installation of 40,000 SF of new gabion mattress to act as scour protection along the banks of the Salt River.

27th Avenue and Southern Storm Drain Project

  • $5.21 million
  • Project Overview: This project consisted of widening 2 miles of Southern Avenue from 19th Avenue to 31st Avenue. The work consisted of grading, paving, removals, concrete, water, sewer, storm drain, micro seal, private irrigation, street lights, traffic signals, and landscaping. DCS self-performed more than 75% of the work, which included 8,800 LF of 60” and 24” storm drain pipe along with in excess of 21,000 tons of asphalt.
