Project Overview: Belmont is a 91-lot community located in South Chandler on Gilbert Road between Queen Creek and Ocotillo Roads. DCS performed mass excavation, domestic water, reclaimed water, sewer, & RWCD irrigation installations. The project included 113,506 CY of excavation, 60,000 CY of mass excavation, and 165,614 SY of finish grading. The mass excavation scope proved to be a challenge due to the fact that the site was previously an abandoned dairy. DCS worked closely with the geotechnical engineer during the grading process to make sure that the materials were processed and compacted to meet and/or exceed geotechnical requirements.
Project Overview: This project consisted of grading three miles of Bulldozer Wash at the master-planned community of Verrado in Buckeye. Work included mass excavation, concrete spillways, concrete weir structure, box culvert, grouted riprap, and storm water infiltration galleries. DCS installed 7,000 SF of a concrete drainage weir structure along with more than 12,400 tons of riprap to improve drainage and prevent erosion.
Project Overview: This project consisted of removal and replacement of gabion mattress scour protection along the Salt River at Alma School Road in Mesa. This included mass excavation of 27,000 cubic yards of onsite material and the placement of 25,000 cubic yards of import material to construct grade. Plus installation of 40,000 SF of new gabion mattress to act as scour protection along the banks of the Salt River.
